Job description
We are seeking an ITSM Specialist to support large-scale technology initiatives by bridging the gap between project administration and operational service delivery. This role involves working closely with Project Managers and Portfolio Leads to manage activities across various mission-critical environments. You will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of I&IT service management tasks, ensuring project schedules and deliverables remain on track. A significant component of this role includes traveling to various provincial sites to provide project support and coordinate the remediation of specialized telephony and communications equipment.

Pay Rate: $523.39 - $559.5/Diem

Advantages
- Critical Infrastructure Impact: Support the lifecycle of essential provincial systems that form the backbone of emergency response and communication.

- Dynamic Work Environment: Balance high-level project administration with essential field-based technical remediation and site coordination.

- Advanced Tooling: Utilize professional-grade project and service management tools (MS Project Online, ITIL frameworks) at an enterprise scale.

- Strategic Growth: Work independently across diverse business and technology teams, gaining exposure to complex, multi-platform technology deployments.

Responsibilities
- Service Coordination: Manage day-to-day I&IT service management activities, with a specific focus on Incident and Change Management processes in alignment with ITIL standards.

- Project Administration: Support Project Managers by tracking detailed project schedules in MS Project Online, facilitating the resolution of risks and issues, and ensuring action items are met.

- Artefact Development: Develop and maintain core project management documentation, including briefing notes, status reports, scorecard updates, and high-quality meeting minutes.

- Field Coordination: Travel to various provincial centres to provide onsite project support and coordinate the remediation and implementation of specialized hardware and equipment.

- Data Analysis: Perform detailed analysis using Excel to build reports that support decision-making regarding project scope, cost data, and scheduling.

- Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a professional liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure optimal system integration.

- Quality Control: Review all submitted project documentation and technical artefacts to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to organizational standards.

Qualifications
- Core Experience: 3 to 5 years of demonstrated experience in I&IT Service Management and project coordination.

- Methodology: Strong knowledge and practical experience applying ITIL methodologies.

- Technical Proficiency: High level of expertise in MS Project, Visio, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

- Service Management Skills: Proven experience with incident and change management workflows in a complex IT environment.

- Soft Skills: Exceptional facilitation, negotiation, and consultative skills with a professional approach to interpersonal collaboration.

- Analytical Ability: Strong problem-solving skills with experience gathering and synthesizing complex data into actionable status reports and dashboards.

- Logistics: Must be able and willing to travel frequently to various provincial locations as required to support equipment coordination.
