Training: One week paid training in Vancouver

Overview

Paladin Security is seeking professional and compassionate Security Guards to join our healthcare team in Squamish, BC. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff within a healthcare facility. This position requires strong communication skills, professionalism under pressure, and the ability to work overnight shifts.

Responsibilities

• Respond to alarms and emergency requests from clinical staff
• Use strong verbal de-escalation skills to manage incidents safely and calmly
• Maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling private and sensitive information
• Complete detailed incident reports (missing patients, access requests, aggression from patients/family/visitors, etc.)
• Conduct regular patrols of the healthcare facility
• Follow PPE and safety protocols at all times
• Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a professional security presence

Requirements

• Must live in Squamish
• Valid BC Security Worker License
• Must be comfortable working in a healthcare facility (including sight of and contact with blood, bodily fluids, deceased individuals, etc.)
• Must be available for 8-hour overnight shifts at least 2 days per week, including weekends
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
• Must be available to travel to Vancouver for one week for paid training

Nice to Have

• Experience in customer service
• Comfortable working independently, making decisions, and taking the lead in emergency situations
