Job Description:

Tenneco is looking for a Technical Product Specialist to cover the British Columbia Province, who holds a Red Seal Endorsement (RSE) certification in Automotive Service Technician, with extensive product and technical knowledge, business expertise, and technical training capabilities. Our ideal candidate is an experienced automotive service professional with a passion for the industry and the desire to share knowledge while promoting a premier portfolio of brands.

Responsibilities:

  • Schedule meetings, shop visits, and training sessions with automotive service providers
  • Demonstrate, instruct, guide, and answer questions to support customer use of DRiV product lines
  • Provide product demonstrations, training, and technical education on DRiV products
  • Deliver technical presentations to enhance customer’s knowledge of DRiV products and services
  • Represent DRiV at career fairs, expos, and other events to promote the profession of automotive technician
  • Communicate project status and sales KPIs to internal sales organization
  • Maintain records of all activities using CRM system
  • Build customer support for DRiV brands and product lines
  • Leverage various marketing channels to feature new and existing products

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma / GED required; College or Technical Degree preferred
  • Current or in progress Red Seal Endorsed Automotive Trades
  • 5+ years applied automotive service experience
  • Experience leading technical demonstrations, training sessions, and presentations
  • Must hold clean driver’s abstract
  • Willingness to travel
  • Computer proficiency - Microsoft Office
  • Personable, presentable, professional
  • Experience and confidence in communicating with automotive technicians
  • CRM (such as Salesforce, C4C) and collaborative software (e.g. WebEx, DropBox) experience preferred
  • Sales experience preferred
