Job description

Get started on an exciting career at Element!

Element employees make a difference in the lives of others every day. We are re-defining the fleet management industry to be people first, then business – delivering on our promise of a superior client experience. This takes hard work and innovation, and we need more like-minded people on our team.

About the Role

We’re looking for a collaborative and detail-oriented professional to join our team as Salesforce Application Developer. In this role, you will design, develop, and deliver scalable Salesforce solutions to meet business needs. You will build custom applications, integrate Salesforce with other systems, and optimize existing processes to enhance functionality and performance. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure technical feasibility, quality, and scalability.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, develop, and implement custom Salesforce solutions, including Apex classes, triggers, Visualforce pages, Lightning components, and integrations with third-party applications.
  • Manage day-to-day Salesforce platform support, including troubleshooting, resolving incidents, and addressing enhancement requests.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable Salesforce solutions and technical designs.
  • Ensure data integrity and security by implementing Salesforce best practices, such as role hierarchies, sharing rules, and field-level security.
  • Participate in production releases, including code deployments and post-release testing, while maintaining system uptime and stability.
  • Design and implement Lightning components, Apex classes, and triggers following coding standards and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain integrations between Salesforce and third-party systems using APIs and middleware.
  • Collaborate with QA teams to test, debug, and ensure the reliability and performance of Salesforce solutions.
  • Refactor existing code to enhance performance and scalability while minimizing technical debt.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (required).
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience developing and implementing Salesforce solutions (required).
  • Proven experience with Lightning Web Components (LWCs), Apex, SOQL, and Salesforce API integrations (required).
  • Salesforce Platform Developer I certification (required).
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Platform features.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce development, including Apex, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, and SOQL.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field (nice to have).
  • Experience with DevOps tools such as Gearset, GIT, Copado, or Jenkins (preferred).
  • Salesforce Platform Developer II or Salesforce Application Architect certification (preferred).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD processes and version control systems such as Git.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce security, including OAuth, SSO, and role hierarchy configurations.
  • Ability to debug and troubleshoot complex technical issues on the Salesforce platform.
