We are a family located in White Rock, British Columbia, seeking a compassionate and reliable elder care provider. This is a live-out, part-time position that involves providing essential home care for our loved one, our dad with mild Alzheimers and heart failure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for administering medication as prescribed and assisting with personal care needs, checking blood pressure, heart-rate and O2 saturation, encouraging eating and initiating bathing. His able-bodied spouse lives there as well but we need to provide her with some rest and less responsibility. We do need someone capable of recomending trips to the ER or even emerg if he is having difficulty breathing. You should have experience in nursing care (LPN or RN) and a genuine desire to help seniors maintain their dignity and comfort. We are looking for someone who is patient, understanding, and has a kind heart. Your role will be crucial in supporting our family and ensuring our elder relative feels safe and cared for in their own home. We offer a competitive wage of $40 per visit (should usually be less than one hour).
