Advanced Flow Systems Contract Manufacturing is looking a Mechanical Assembler to join our team in Chilliwack, BC.

The Role:

The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for working in a manufacturing environment with a team of assemblers, insulators and other professional trades, assembling large and small components on a variety of projects

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete mechanical assemblies by reviewing work instructions, blueprints, and hands on training support
  • Install parts and subassemblies using templates or measurements
  • Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies
  • Complete QA validations with assistance from team members
  • Perform tasks involving physical labor; operate hand and power tools, wrenching and tightening bolts.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

What You Bring:

  • Preference given to candidates with experience in a heavy industrial setting or previous experience doing assembly in a manufacturing environment.
  • Mechanically inclined with experience working with power tools (torque wrench, impact drills, grinders, etc.) and using overhead cranes
  • Highly self-motivated and career-minded individuals will receive hands-on training to further develop skills
  • Brings leadership potential and a growth mindset
  • Able to work independently
  • Able to communicate effectively and solve problems with team members
  • Tube bending experience an asset
