Who we are looking for:
This position, reporting to the Manager of Corporate Network Engineering, will work as a technical subject matter expert on IP network architecture, design and support activities. This position works with a group of highly qualified professionals engaged in developing technical design and solutions which meet the needs of current and also futureproof networks (5 years) IP Networks Engineering is accountable for the development and evolution of Rogers IP network infrastructure to support Billing, Rogers Meida, Retail, Corporate Office, Corporate Data Centers, Real Estate services. The team works to develop architecturally sound and financially viable IP solutions that meet approved service requirements and alignment with business strategies.

What you will be doing:

• Lead and support in the development of IP solutions, corporate network infrastructure and Rogers corporate data centers.
• Release design specifications to implement and maintain automation frameworks for zero touch provisioning, configuration and validation.
• Create Engineering Design Specification and network diagrams for service introduction, application virtualization & integration, and network upgrades applying our DevNetOps methodologies.
• Provide tier 4 operational support for IP network and service issues. Identify, diagnose and resolve network problems.
• Identify opportunity and innovative approaches to continuously improve network performance and resiliency.
• Take courses of action and coordinate with other SMEs to expedite the successful completion of assigned projects.
• Participate and contribute to the development of the 1-3 year Corporate Networks roadmap and evolution.

What you will bring:

• Previous 5 years experience with a major network service provider, Data Center and direct involvement in building Data Center and large-scale ISP networks supporting multi service, multi tenancy
• Demonstrated experience in SDN/NFV virtualization architecture for cloud data center design.
• Experience should also include the foundations for cloud based infrastructure (Compute, Vmware NSX & Networking), software orchestration & automation.
• Highly proficient and hands on experience in the following networking technologies: OSPF/ISIS, MP-BGP, MPLS, L2VPN (VPLS, EVPN), L3VPN, Multicast, IPv6, IPSec.
• Direct work experience with Juniper (MX, QFX, SRX), Cisco (ASR9K, Nexus 9K/7K, NCS5K) families of networking, switching, and security platforms
• Understanding of hardware and virtual load balancers in a large data center environment
• Strong Unix/Linux skills and the ability to script in Python, Perl, shell. SDN is a reality in cloud networking. Daily activities will involve applying networking knowledge to SDN and Network Automation tools.
• Effective communicator with fluent verbal and written communication skills and ability to frame technology issues in business terms and to effectively manage and confront conflicts and issues.
• Proficient in Excel and Power Point.
• Highly motivated individual, build and maintain strong relationships with other stakeholder teams to coordinate and collaborate on solutioning and project delivery with sense of urgency
• Recent experience to include IP network design on Data Center, WIFI, CGNAT.

Qualifications:
