The College of Dentistry invites applications from qualified individuals for a full-time tenure-track faculty position at the academic rank of Assistant Professor in Comprehensive Care. Responsibilities include delivering didactic, pre-clinical, and clinical teaching, supervising student research projects; initiating, leading, and participating in innovative research programs; competing successfully for internal and external funding; and undertaking relevant administrative activities.
Applicants must have a DDS or DMD (or equivalent). Research expertise in oral microbiology and oral biology is preferred for this position. Postdoctoral training is also considered an asset. Desirable attributes include effective classroom teaching skills, strong mentoring abilities, and excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Salary information for this position for the 2025-2026 academic year is as follows: Assistant Professor: $110,489 to $131,909. Independent of rank, a starting salary above the standard salary bands is usually common and possible in the College of Dentistry.

The level and structure of start-up funding will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience, research program, and anticipated funding trajectory.
