Job description

Our client is a Canadian healthcare organization dedicated to supporting and growing a network of community pharmacies through strategic acquisitions and operational excellence.

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will serve as a strategic partner to the Chief Executive Officer, COO and President along with the Board of Directors, with overall responsibility for the financial leadership, capital strategy, reporting integrity, and risk management framework of a TSX Venture Exchange listed issuer pursuing growth through the acquisition of pharmacies (current store count 15 and counting). This executive will bring the judgment, credibility, and operational range to thrive in a lean, acquisition-driven environment while establishing the discipline, governance, and transparency required of a public company. The CFO will play a central role in evaluating acquisition opportunities, shaping financing strategy, supporting investor confidence, and building a scalable finance infrastructure capable of sustaining disciplined growth.

The ideal candidate is an ambitious, commercially minded finance executive who thrives in high-growth, entrepreneurial environments and is energized by the opportunity to build. They bring experience within a publicly traded organization or a strong foundation in public accounting combined with public company exposure. They possess a deep understanding of financial reporting, governance, controls, and the operational demands of a reporting issuer. Equally strategic and hands-on, they have demonstrated success

scaling finance functions, improving systems and processes, and implementing technology to create operational efficiency.

They will have meaningful experience supporting mergers and acquisitions, including financial due diligence, integration, forecasting, and building standardized financial processes across a growing organization. They are intellectually curious, confident in challenging the status quo, and capable of bringing fresh ideas that will help the business continue to evolve. Above all, they will be a collaborative leader with the resilience, work ethic, and executive presence to operate in a lean, fast-paced environment where growth, change, and opportunity are constant.
