WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Coordinates asset management projects, including building condition assessments and state of infrastructure reports.
- Manages branch energy management program, including audits, delivery of energy projects and supports corporate climate change and energy conservation initiatives.
- Coordinates infrastructure asset management activities to support corporate asset management initiatives.
- Prepares capital repair and rehabilitation plans for the branch including Housing York Inc. and community housing providers and provides capital rehabilitation co-ordination for Senior Services facilities.
- Prepares project definition reports outlining estimates of project requirements and costs and assists with capital forecasts and reports.
- Manages the development, maintenance and improvement of asset management models and analysis.
- Assists in preparing, recommending, and controlling budgets and work plans.
- Participates in planning and formulation of initiatives for service improvements.
- Assists in the overall direction of setting goals, objectives, developing policies and procedures.
- Researches, reviews and implements improvements to asset management systems.
- Supervises staff, including recruitment, selection, hiring, scheduling, assigning and monitoring work, determining training and development needs, coaching and mentoring, conducting performance appraisals and determining/recommending disciplinary action up to and including dismissal in accordance with collective agreements, Regional policies and practices.
- Ensures that operating staff work in a safe manner and utilize all required health and safety equipment and protective devices and follow all measures and procedures as required by the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations and Regional Policies.
- Participates on various internal and external committees, task forces and focus groups, as directed.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Successful completion of a University Degree in Engineering or related field or approved equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have a Project Management or Technical certification ( , , PMP, or CAMP) or approved equivalent.
- Satisfactory completion of a police vulnerable sector check as required under the Fixing Long-Term Care Act, 2021.
- Demonstrated knowledge of relevant Standards, Acts and Regulations.
- Demonstrated ability in the Region's leadership competencies.
