The Role

Coastal Lakes College is seeking an enthusiastic, innovative and proactive Student Services Manager (Program Coordinator – Student Services) to join our dedicated Student Services team.

The Program Coordinator – Student Services provides strategic leadership to support student engagement, wellbeing, academic success and positive outcomes across the College. Working closely with the leadership team and other middle leaders, the successful applicant will ideally contribute to embedding the school’s strategic direction through the application of professional knowledge, a strong understanding of student support systems and the use of data-informed practices to support both wellbeing and academic achievement.

The role provides leadership of Student Services operations, including line management of Year Coordinators, Student Support staff, and oversight of the Pastoral Care Team. The successful applicant will ideally plan, implement and review strategies aligned with the College Business Plan that promote student wellbeing, engagement, positive behaviour and improved academic outcomes across the College.

As an educational leader within the College and broader community, the Program Coordinator – Student Services will support the promotion of the school’s vision and encourage staff, families and community partners to share ownership of the College’s goals for student success.

The successful applicant will ideally display highly developed interpersonal communication and organisational skills, with the capacity to lead and work effectively as part of a busy and dynamic team. A flexible, proactive and solutions-focused approach will ideally enable the successful applicant to thrive in the demands of a fast-paced and rewarding Student Services environment.

A strong understanding of case management for educationally at-risk students is desirable, including knowledge of effective intervention, monitoring and reporting strategies, and experience developing and sustaining effective partnerships with external agencies to support students and school-based initiatives. The successful applicant will also display the capacity to effectively comply with and implement Department of Education policies and processes relating to student support, including wellbeing and mental health, attendance, child protection, engagement and psychology services.
