Technical Program Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Technical Program Manager to join our Platform Services and Emerging Technologies division. This role is designed for a professional who will work in close partnership with product teams’ leadership to drive the organization’s strategic programs. Experience or a keen interest in AI tools and emerging technologies will be highly regarded. The position offers flexibility for candidates based in Montreal or Toronto, with a hybrid work arrangement requiring presence in the office one to two times per week.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple technical programs from inception through completion, ensuring seamless execution at all stages

• Develop comprehensive project plans that detail scope, timelines, dependency management, and risk mitigation strategies

• Collaborate closely with engineering, product management, and other stakeholders to define clear program goals and deliverables

• Monitor and report on program progress, ensuring that activities align with organizational objectives and expectations

• Proactively identify and resolve issues and conflicts that may arise within project teams to maintain momentum and efficiency

• Drive alignment across teams, functions, and stakeholders to support successful program outcomes

• Facilitate effective communication and coordination among all stakeholders involved in the programs

• Ensure all program activities comply with company standards, policies, and procedures

• Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team to enhance performance and innovation

• Stay informed about the latest AI-driven tools and technologies and seek opportunities to leverage them for increased program efficiency and innovation

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

• Five or more years of experience working directly with engineering and product teams on highly complex initiatives involving multiple teams in a fast-paced, Agile-driven environment

• At least three years of experience in Technical Program Management or a closely related role

• Demonstrated success in managing complex technical projects from inception to completion

• Strong technical background and aptitude, attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving skills

• Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of audiences, both technical and non-technical

• Proficiency in leveraging technical tools to scale programs and develop effective solutions

• Solid knowledge of systems and cloud services, including platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud

• Foundational understanding or a demonstrated curiosity about AI technologies and their application in program management

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a proven capability to drive alignment and execution across multiple teams

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling influence and relationship-building with stakeholders at all organizational levels

• Deep understanding of program management methodologies, tools, and best practices

• Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities simultaneously

• Possession of PMP or other relevant certifications is considered an asset

• Experience with AI tools, data-driven decision-making, or a strong interest in developing AI literacy within technical programs

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
