What This Role is All About Procurement & Sourcing Assess business needs to determine specifications for required equipment, materials, and supplies.

Create comprehensive technical specifications for procurement requests.

Review and analyze supplier quotations to determine best options based on quality, price, and delivery.

Evaluate and negotiate supplier offers to secure cost-effective and value-driven purchasing outcomes.

Procure both general and specialized equipment, materials, and services in alignment with operational requirements.

Ensure all purchases adhere to company policies, budget guidelines, and compliance standards.

Supplier Management & Communication Build strong, reliable relationships with suppliers to support ongoing procurement needs.

Monitor order status and delivery schedules to ensure timely fulfillment.

Proactively resolve delivery delays, shortages, or quality concerns.

Communicate with internal teams and suppliers to clarify requirements and resolve procurement-related issues.

Conduct supplier performance evaluations and participate in improvement planning.

Tracking, Reporting & Administration Maintain accurate records of pricing, purchase orders, contracts, and supplier data.

Track and monitor delivery schedules to ensure operational continuity.

Assist in developing and implementing procurement processes and best practices.

Prepare reports on procurement activity, cost trends, and supplier performance for management review.

Your Skills & Background 2+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or a related administrative/operations role.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess pricing, quality, and supplier performance.

Excellent communication skills and professional customer service approach.

High attention to detail with strong organizational and record-keeping abilities.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word); experience with ERP or procurement systems is an asset.

Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.

Ability to work both independently and in a team setting.

Working Conditions Primarily office-based environment using standard office equipment.

Frequent communication with internal departments, suppliers, and external partners.

High-paced role requiring effective multitasking and coordination.

Occasional travel to local suppliers, warehouses, or client sites for evaluations or issue resolution.

Light lifting (up to 20 lbs) may be required.

Tight timelines during peak purchasing cycles or urgent procurement needs.
