Job description
We are seeking a strategic, hands on Business Unit Controller to join the senior leadership team of a premier manufacturing organization.
In this role you will oversee all financial and accounting functions for the business unit while serving as a key strategic advisor to plant operations and executive leadership

Responsibilities
Key responsibilities will include:

Financial Analysis & Decision Support
* Operational insights - deliver monthly financial sltatements with deep dive variance analysis, identifying key trends
* Strategic Modelling - lead business case development, financial modeling and competitor analysis to evaluate profitability and drive value creation
*CapEx - review and financially justify major appropriation requests
* Complex Accounting - apply robust accounting & valuation concepts to support decision making (fixed asset evaluations, capital leases, valuation reserves)
* Plant Performance - partner closely with operations and plant management to analyze standard cost variances, inventory valuation and manufacturing performance
* Risk Mitigation - oversee internal controls , identify process gaps
* Budgeting and Forecasting - lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process
* Leadership - direct and mentor a team (includes AP, AR, Accountant)


Qualifications
* CPA professional designation is required
* 7+ yrs o fprogressive experience within a large complex manufacturing environment
* Expertise in standard costing, inventory management and plant level operational analysis is required
* Financial modeling skills required
* A credible, agile, self starter who can work autonomously
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* ERP systems and Excel required
