Job descriptionAre you a designated CPA with a foundation in public accounting looking to transition into a stable, industry-leading manufacturing environment? Do you thrive in "all-rounder" roles where you can manage US business operations, lead financial reporting, and drive FP&A insights all in one day? Are you seeking a stable and growing organization where your attention to detail and positive attitude are valued?
If you have 5+ years of experience—ideally with a mix of Big Four audit and industry exposure—and want to join a tight-knit team in Brampton, we want to hear from you.
Working as an individual contributor reporting directly to the Controller, you will serve as the financial lead for our clients' US business unit. This is a high-visibility, newly created role in a small team environment where your work directly impacts daily operations and long-term planning. The systems are highly automated and organized with SAP, allowing you to focus on high-level analysis and business support rather than manual data entry.
Advantages
Base Salary: $85,000 – $95,000K (commensurate with experience)
Bonus: 5% annual performance bonus
Retirement: 5% RRSP Company Match
Health: Comprehensive Sunlife Healthcare coverage
Time Off: 3 weeks vacation, 5 sick days, and 3 personal days
Perks: The office closes between Christmas and New Year, and we fully cover your annual CPA dues and professional development courses
Responsibilities
Your time will be distributed across three key pillars to support our integrated production chain:
- US Business Operations (30%): Acting as the primary point of contact for US daily accounting, managing intercompany transactions, and ensuring books are accurately updated.
- Financial Reporting (30%): Compiling and analyzing data to fulfill internal, external, and regulatory requirements (ASPE/IFRS), including account reconciliations and sales tax summaries.
- FP&A & Budgeting (30%): Supporting the annual budget cycle, monthly estimates, and manufacturing variance analysis to provide insights for corrective actions.
- Team Support (10%): Providing technical expertise to the department and offering occasional support to the Accounts Payable function as needed.
Qualifications
Education & Designation: A Bachelor’s degree in Economics or Finance with a completed CPA or ACCA designation
Experience: At least 5 years of experience in a similar role. A background in a Big Four or mid-tier audit firm is a "strong nice-to-have" as it provides the technical foundation needed for reporting standards
Technical Savvy: Advanced Excel skills (merging complex data sets) and experience with SAP, Power BI, or Tagetik
Soft Skills: A positive, cooperative attitude is #1; you must be a reliable team player who values professional integrity and clear communication.
In-Person Commitment: This is an in-person role at the Brampton facility. While some flexibility may be granted after your probation period, we are looking for someone who values the collaboration that comes with being in the office daily.
