Job Summary

Body Finisher – Parts Painter at Pride Bodies Ltd. (a Wabtec Company) in Cambridge, Ontario.

Responsible for daily work in the paint department, working with the paint supervisor and paint team.

Responsibilities

• Uphold priorities of Safety, Quality, Continuous Improvement and Teamwork.
• Perform accurate and finished work for internal customers, allowing Assembly and Service Departments to function without disruption.
• Set up the paint booth, prepare components / bodies to spray for the day.
• Apply coatings to components in a timely manner and repair any defects in paint work.
• Finish component / body / door prep fully, including body work and caulking.
• Read and understand shop drawings to enable independent work.
• Set up and maintain shop tools and equipment; learn new tools as required.
• Stack parts on skids, label components correctly.
• Assist in other areas of production as needed, if qualified.

Physical Demands

The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk and hear. Occasionally required to sit and may lift or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required include close vision and depth perception. Safety glasses, steel‑toed safety shoes and hearing protection must be worn for the entirety of the shift.
