Job description

Are you handy with tools and enjoy working with your hands? Heritage Office Furnishings is hiring a full-time Factory Worker – Painter for our Services Department. In this role, you’ll use hand and power tools to disassemble, assemble, and repair furniture components, supporting the growth and operations of our organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand and follow proper techniques for spray painting and reupholstering products.
  • Read and interpret instructions and delivery ticket information.
  • Understand and utilize hand/power tools for assembly of workstations, including welding.
  • Understand and follow basic systems installation techniques for installing panels/frames and components for various manufacturers.
  • Understand the proper procedure for shipping and receiving.
  • Understand and utilize proper/safe lifting and moving techniques to avoid damage to furniture, walls, door frames, and elevators during the movement of goods.
  • Assist with garbage and cardboard removal as required.
  • Responsible for adhering to assigned work schedules and being punctual and prepared.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 or Equivalent
  • Experience with hand and power tools
  • General mechanical aptitude
  • Effective time management and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and energetic
  • Must be able to list 50-75 pounds
