Job description
We are looking for a Production Technician with manufacturing experience. Someone who is knowledgeable, enjoys working with their hands, self-motivated, attentive to detail, and takes pride in doing a good job.
Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Work on various power tools, overhead cranes and machinery including Balancing Machine, saws, impact guns, nail guns, drill and tap, measure and cut, sanding, sand blasting metal parts, file, fit, punch, reaming, riveting, aligning and clamping of individual parts for assembly.
  • Work as a spray painter in the Paint booth, sandblasting, masking and prepping the pumps , mixers and other items for painting.
  • Work as a carpenter building skids, crates, pallets and other woodworking items shrink wrap and label them for shipment.
Secondary Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Assists Welders, Assemblers, and Fitters when required.
  • Back up for painter.
  • Back up Testing of product
  • Performs general shop and building maintenance tasks as required.
Requirements
  • Experience with Power tools (ie: Drill and other power tools)
  • Technical aptitude/mechanically incline is a requirement
  • Some overhead crane experience would be a requirement
  • Blue Print reading and interpretation is an important requirement
  • Exposure/some experience with woodworking-crate, or furniture assembly is a requirement
  • some 'light' Assembly is a requirement: such as bolting an engine in place in the frame, OR tacking a frame together
Physical:
  • Must be capable of working prolonged periods standing, sitting, squatting, and bending.
  • Lift, Push and Pull Requirements: Up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be manually dexterous.
  • Ability to work in non-temperature-controlled manufacturing facility.
  • Ability to work safely with various chemicals including and not limited to thinners, acetones, and xylene.
Mental:
  • Mathematics.
  • The use of the English language, both Oral and Written.
  • Requires daily communication with multiple departments to insure maximum efficiency.
  • Fast-paced environment.
Education & Skills:
  • OSSD High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Read Blueprints.
  • Numerical and categorical accuracy.
  • Operate spray painting equipment.
  • Works as a team.
Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years.
Working Conditions:
  • Hours of operation: 6:00am to 2:30pm or 2:30pm to 11pm.
