Hiring Requirements:
The Network Performance Leader (NPL) fosters a high-performing Independent Operator (IO) network by improving operator capability and skill set through DSDE standards, supporting IO success and sustainability. The role acts as the subject-matter expert for IO continuous training and development, coaching, and network-performance insights.

The NPL drives distributor performance by strengthening capabilities through coaching, ensuring consistent execution of strategic priorities, and maintaining high standards of operational and commercial discipline across the network.

Key Responsibilities:
IO Development & Coaching

  • Support the continuous development of a strong IO network through operational readiness; collaborate with DSLs on interviews, onboarding-training support, and training certification / continuous-improvement opportunities.
  • Assign training modules and coach IOs on sales fundamentals, operational excellence, DSDE standards, customer service, and business-management routines for all channels.
  • Cultivate peer training ambassadors.

Network Performance & Insights

  • Review notes and actions captured by MSLs during store visits to identify selling opportunities, newly secured street sold displays, and issues for resolution as required during coaching conversations with IOs.
  • Leverage data and market observations to provide insights to DSLs in support of EDGE Reviews, operator action planning, and compliance issues where required.
  • Maintain an understanding of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for franchisees and distributors.

Route Health & Service

  • Monitor route health, trends, recurring issues and risks, and service compliance — translating findings into coaching opportunities and action plans.
  • Monitor route vacancy risk and coordinate route contingency action plans where required, including point of contact with route relief and agency support. Where no immediate solution available, NPL may be assigned to operate route temporarily.
  • Support customer-complaint escalations where recurring issues indicate IO capability, execution, or compliance gaps.
  • Collaborate with DSL to support JTF requests and route engineering initiatives, providing insights that help protect route health while adhering to established standards and processes.
  • Identify route assignment for new DSD customers.
  • Support REM & DSL with established product recall procedures when required.

Experience & Education:

  • Preferred post-secondary education and related experience
  • 1-3 years’ sales experience, preferably in a CPG and/or Direct Sales Delivery (DSD) environment
  • Demonstrated people and business growth results
  • Developed effective sales management accountability system
  • Built commitment and teamwork while maintaining a creative and positive work environment
  • Proficient Technology and Computer skills: proficient at Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Requirements:
    • Frequent Walking
    • May require lifting up to 25 pounds

The annual salary range for applicants is: $70,000 - $90,000, which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other factors.
