Established wood products manufacturing operation is looking for a qualified wood Grader with at least 3 years of experience in a high production remanufacturing operation. A current ticket is required for this position.
You are a skilled handler of finished wood products with an eye for quality as this position is critical to our production of superior quality wood products based on customer criteria. The primary responsibility of this position is to assess the suitability of all raw material used in downstream production of engineered wood products. Working with a variety of softwood species SPF, Douglas fir etc. you are required to assess and mark which components make the specification for the component and eliminate errors due to out of grade characteristics.
To be considered you :
- Must be organized, reliable, detail oriented, flexible and safety conscious to keep up with changing requirements.
- Have good communication skills both verbal and written, accuracy and ability to coordinate with the other members of the production team.
- Have ability to always maintain the safety of yourself and others through best practices on the production floor and in the workplace in general.
- Maintain and promote a positive attitude, teamwork, and cooperation.
- Have flexibility to be cross trained and perform other duties as assigned
