Job description
Job Description

AECOM Canada is seeking a Senior Manager, Digital Delivery to support the Water Business Line, initially focused on the GTA with a mandate to scale regionally. This new role can be based out of our Markham or Mississauga office.

As a senior leader within the Water Digital Delivery ecosystem, this role is accountable for the strategic management of BIM and digital delivery resources, ensuring the right capability is deployed to the right projects at the right time.

The Senior Manager, Digital Delivery works closely with Design Managers, Technical Leads, Project Managers, and Regional Digital Leadership to separate delivery management from design ownership, enabling consistency, transparency, and continuous improvement across Water projects.

Key Responsibilities

Digital Delivery Leadership

  • Own the digital delivery model for Water projects, including how BIM and design production resources are requested, assigned, and supported across the region.
  • Act as the primary leadership contact for Modelers, and Drafters supporting Water projects.
  • Work closely with digital leadership to establish clear digital delivery accountability aligned with regional digital strategy.

Resource Management and Deployment

  • Assign BIM and digital delivery resources to projects based on scope, complexity, risk, and individual capability.
  • Implement transparent allocation principles.
  • Maintain visibility of resource capacity, utilization, strengths, and development needs.

Capability Building and Performance

  • Identify individual and team strengths, gaps, and training needs across BIM and digital delivery staff.
  • Develop targeted training, mentoring, and upskilling plans in collaboration with regional digital leadership.
  • Support succession planning and career pathways for digital delivery professionals.

Digital Maturity and Consistency

  • Assess digital delivery maturity across Water projects and programs.
  • Drive consistent adoption of regional and enterprise BIM standards, workflows, and quality expectations.
  • Work with global and enterprise teams to mature work-sharing models and offshore or distributed delivery where appropriate.

Project and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner with Project Managers and Design Managers to scope digital delivery effort and staffing needs during pursuits and project startup.
  • Provide escalation support on digital delivery risks, resourcing constraints, and capability gaps.
  • Represent Water digital delivery in regional forums.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Technology, or related field with 10+ years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership in BIM and digital delivery within water or infrastructure-focused AEC environments.
  • Experience managing teams of modelers, drafters, and BIM professionals across multiple projects.

Preferred requirements

  • Experience operating in a front-of-house digital delivery or resource management model.
  • Strong understanding of multi-discipline water and wastewater project delivery.
  • Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud, Revit, Civil 3D, and federated model environments.
  • Proven ability to assess team capability, implement change, and mature digital delivery practices at scale.

Additional Information

  • Sponsorship for Canadian employment authorization is not available for this position.
