Job Title: Order Picker

Job Description

Begin your journey with us by engaging in SOP and health and safety training for the initial hours. Once completed, transition to the carts and totes area where you'll partake in repetitive lifting, handling up to 15 lbs. Here, you'll clear bins from the trucks, inspect them for returned products or garbage, and properly dispose of waste using compactors. After mastering these tasks, you'll advance to order picking using iPads. This role is structured to support projects over the next four weeks, with the potential for extension.

Responsibilities

• Participate in SOP and health & safety training.
• Engage in repetitive lifting up to 15 lbs.
• Clear bins from trucks and check for returned products or garbage.
• Dispose of waste in compactors.
• Progress to order picking using iPads.

Essential Skills

• Order picking and general labor experience.
• Proficiency with RF scanner.
• English language skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Warehouse experience.
• Healthcare and walkie experience.

Work Environment

Work in a brand new, fast-paced, and large distribution facility. The environment is clean, well-lit, and features a spacious lunchroom. Embrace diversity and a strong focus on safety. Steel-toed shoes are mandatory, and safety vests are provided. The mixed day shift schedule includes Sunday 8am-4:15pm, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 6:45am-3pm. Employees receive one 30-minute unpaid lunch and one 15-minute paid break, with the option to leave 15 minutes earlier instead of taking a second break.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vaughan, ON.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.60/hr.
