Responsibilities

The SQL Developer with TOAD proficiency, focusing on Oracle database development and management, leveraging TOAD as a primary tool.

Designing, developing, and maintaining complex PL / SQL stored procedures, functions, packages, triggers, and views for various business functionalities.

SQL querying, optimization, and performance tuning using techniques such as EXPLAIN PLAN, SQL

TRACE, AUTOTRACE, and query hints.

Database object management including creating / modifying tables, indexes, materialized views, and other schema components.

Data manipulation and ETL tasks, potentially using PL / SQL scripts, SQL Loader, or other tools.

Performance tuning to resolve bottlenecks and optimize indexing, queries, and database configuration.

Code review and adherence to coding standards, maintaining code quality.

Troubleshooting and debugging within the database environment, including analyzing error logs.

Documentation of database designs, procedures, and processes.

Collaborating with other developers, business analysts, and DBAs to ensure project success.

Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

5-10 years of experience as an Oracle SQL / PL / SQL Developer.

Extensive experience with Oracle databases (versions such as 11g, 12c, 19c).

Strong knowledge of database design principles, normalization, and data modeling.

Expertise in TOAD for Oracle, and experience with Oracle SQL Developer.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Reinsurance, insurance, and finance knowledge / experience.
