  • Lead the month-end and quarter-end close process, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules

External Reporting
  • Coordinate and prepare SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K) or equivalent regulatory reports, including MD&A and footnote disclosures

  • Monitor and assess the impact of new FASB/ASC pronouncements; implement required changes
Technical Accounting
  • Research and document complex accounting matters (revenue recognition, leases, business combinations, equity, etc.)
  • Prepare technical accounting memos and position papers
  • Support due diligence and integration accounting for M&A activity as needed
Leadership & Collaboration
  • Supervise and develop 1–3 staff/senior accountants; provide coaching and performance feedback
  • Partner with FP&A on variance analysis and management reporting
  • Collaborate with IT/Systems teams on ERP enhancements and reporting automation
  • Support internal audit and SOX compliance testing

About You
Required
  • CPA designation (active)
  • 5–8 years of progressive accounting/reporting experience
  • Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP (ASC 606, ASC 842, ASC 805, etc.)
  • Experience with SEC reporting or equivalent public company reporting
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Business Central)
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with consolidation tools (e.g., Workiva, HFM, BPC)
Preferred
  • Big 4 or large regional public accounting experience
  • Experience in [industry: financial services / technology / manufacturing]
  • Familiarity with XBRL tagging and SEC EDGAR filing tools
  • Exposure to IFRS and US GAAP dual-reporting environments
Competencies
  • High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines
  • Clear written and verbal communication — able to translate technical accounting to non-finance stakeholders
  • Collaborative team player with a continuous improvement mindset

  • Salary
    $120,000/ Year
