Job Title : Settlements OfficerLocation : Toronto, ON M5X 1A9 (Hybrid – 3 days / week onsite)Duration : 6 monthsContract Type : T4Pay Rate : CA$31.03 / HourJob DescriptionPhysical metals operation team is providing the support to our traders globally for both base metals and precious metals businessAs a member of physical metals operation team base in our Toronto office, working closely with Global trading and sales desks, mainly providing the support being a key point of contact between custodians and clients, helping to ensure smooth settlement of metals.Key ResponsibilitiesOrganizes work information to ensure accuracy and completeness.Researches and resolves discrepancies and issue or escalates to manger, as requiredResponsible for Monthly invoice and dispatch to client within the required timelineEnsure the records are maintained in a proper mannerResponsible for daily metals settlement and customers’ metal transfer request are processedEnsure the financial system and inventory system are updated properly for the trades and transfer requests and related supporting docs are retained for future referenceEnsure all shipping documentation and invoices generate are in order as required.Builds effectives relationship with internal / external stakeholdersWorks independently on a range of complex tasks, which may include unique situations.Interaction with partners across the businesses, including Middle office, Front office, Technology.Must Haves : 3-5 years of relevant experience - familiar with billing process, invoices, high level communicationPrevious logistic experienceKnowledge and understanding of business unit’s products and services, processes and controlsKnowledge of standard desktop applications (i.e. Excel, etc.) and department systems and applicationsEducation : Post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Soft Skills : Strong attention to detail.Ability to be organized in a fast-paced environment with multiple simultaneous and conflicting requests with a focus on detail and accuracyDemonstrated customer service excellenceVerbal & written communication skillsNice to Haves : Previous banking experienceUnderstanding of business unit’s risk and regulatory requirements
