Location: Brampton

Afternoon Shift (3:00 pm – 11:30 pm)

Type: Full-Time Summer Student Contract, Monday-Friday

Number of Open Positions: 2

Quantum Lifecycle Partners LP is the leading and largest vertically integrated IT Asset Disposition & recycling processor in Canada. We are committed to enabling the safe and secure reuse of electronics, responsible recycling of electronics to divert waste from landfills, and recovery of natural resources from obsolete electronics.

Job Summary – Operations

  • Identifies and sorts different electronic materials in assigned boxes while adhering to classification of commodities into different grades to maximize production output
  • Palletizing electronic equipment. (PCs, laptops, printers, removable disks, monitors etc.)
  • Test, analyze, diagnose, and repair all existing and incoming laptops, printers, and other electronic devices parts/components to ensure products are fully functional
  • Perform data sanitization and factory resets.
  • Change RAM (install physical component)
  • Change out hardware for the devices (physical component).
  • Install new memory upgrades.
  • Inspect parts ensuring quality compliance.
  • Lifting and moving up to 20 lbs.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot product faults, and adjust, replace, or repair.
  • Install, remove operating systems on devices.
  • Evaluate the operation of electronic components using the software provided.

Your Qualifications & Abilities:

  • Minimum High School graduate: preference is a computer programming diploma or degree
  • Experience with laptops, desktops, and iPads/tablets
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Experience in repairing wireless products from cosmetic changes, screens, batteries, internal components, software, flashing and unlocking.
  • Experience performing troubleshooting, diagnostics, repair and testing on various mobile products, including Android, iPhones, and iPads.
  • Strong technical background in electronics.
  • Flexible, fast learner with the ability to multitask
