Job Description

DMS Hydronic Ltd. is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Manager to oversee Mechanical, Plumbing, and HVAC projects from initiation to completion. Reporting directly to company leadership, this role is responsible for managing budgets, timelines, and deliverables while ensuring compliance with client expectations and regulatory standards. This site-based role, located in Burnaby and Coquitlam, involves overseeing two residential projects simultaneously, with occasional visits to the head office in Burnaby.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Planning & Execution :  Develop comprehensive project plans, including schedules, resource allocation, and milestones. Define project scopes and deliverables aligned with contractual obligations and quality standards.
• Compliance & Quality Assurance :  Ensure all work adheres to regulatory requirements, including local, provincial, and federal standards, as well as health and safety regulations.
• Budget Management :  Review and manage project budgets, monitor costs, and oversee procurement processes to ensure resources are allocated efficiently.
• Subcontractor Coordination :  Manage sub-trade contracts, including developing LOIs, scopes of work, and agreements. Oversee negotiations and ensure timely delivery of services.
• Team Leadership :  Manage diverse project teams, ensuring effective communication between stakeholders, team members, and other key parties. You will oversee a Project Coordinator and collaborate closely with both the field and BIM teams.
• Problem Resolution :  Address and resolve issues during the construction process to maintain project continuity and meet client and company expectations.
• Documentation & Reporting :  Maintain accurate project records, complete weekly project management checklists, and collaborate with accounting to finalize closeout documents.
• Health & Safety :  Actively participate in monthly site inspections and safety meetings, ensuring all company and client health and safety policies are followed.
