Job description

HIRING - Maintenance Technician (No licenses required)

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Mechanic to support our dynamic food / beverage manufacturing operations by ensuring all equipment runs efficiently and safely. This role plays a critical part in maintaining our equipment, resolving mechanical issues, and supporting continuous improvement. If you enjoy working with your hands, solving mechanical challenges, and being part of a collaborative team, we’d love to hear from you!

Location - Etobicoke

Shift - Continental Day / Night Rotation (2 weeks days, 2 weeks night)

Pay - $30-37+

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on production machinery to identify potential issues.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems including conveyors, palletizers, wrappers, and other production line equipment.
  • Collaborate with machine operators to resolve breakdowns quickly and minimize downtime.
  • Work with PLCs and electronic systems as needed to diagnose and correct issues.
  • Ensure all work aligns with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Document maintenance activities and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in training team members and sharing technical knowledge across the department.
  • Follow internal safety protocols and regulatory compliance procedures (GMP, HACCP).
  • Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a food / beverage or pharmaceutical manufacturing plant
  • Strong understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Experience with electromechanical components such as sensors, drives, and HMIs is a plus.
  • Ability to interpret manuals, technical drawings, and schematics.
  • Able to work independently and within a fast-paced team environment.
  • Willingness to learn and committment to continuous improvement
