You independently operate and maintain at least one process, equipment or systems following autonomous maintenance (AM) standards and use your technical skills to improve line and/or system performance to meet business needs.
How you will contribute
You are a key ingredient in changing how the world snacks. With coaching, you will operate and maintain equipment to deliver on our safety, quality, cost, delivery, sustainability and morale targets. You will use execute all standard work processes on your equipment using AM (autonomous maintenance) and PM (progressive maintenance) standards and ensure that safety processes are observed, and that quality assurance activities are performed. You will understand the losses in their area and equipment and report them.

What you need to know about this position:
The Maintenance Planner is responsible for the comprehensive planning, scheduling, and coordination of all maintenance tasks within the assigned section, ensuring operational efficiency and asset reliability. The Maintenance Planner will directly supervise a team of tradesmen, coordinating their work across all shifts to support our 24/7 operations. The maintenance leader will also be responsible for conducting daily meetings with both Operations and Maintenance management to ensure seamless coordination and alignment of priorities.

- Prevent incidents by ensure 'zero safety and quality incidents' mentality and culture in his line(s)/area
- Enforce safety rules and ensure a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment
- Monitor and analyze line performance metrics related to maintenance (Maintenance downtime, breakdowns, MTTR, etc.)
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to log maintenance activities, track parts usage, and monitor equipment history
- Coordinate and prioritize maintenance work on assigned production lines to ensure maximum equipment uptime
- Respond promptly to breakdowns or stoppages and lead root cause investigations and corrective actions
- Improve cost through systemic Loss Elimination, Identify and eliminate losses
- Owns the maintenance budget execution in the section and ensure compliance to defined budget
- Lead and supervise a team of maintenance technicians, providing task assignments, guidance, and on-the-job training
- Collaborate with the Line Manager and production staff to align maintenance tasks with production schedules
- Building and growing High Performing Teams in their section
- Train and Coach teams on new technical and operational standards
- Own Maintenance planning & scheduling, Countermeasure to breakdown and Abnormality handling SWPs
- Maintain up-to-date documentation on equipment, SOPs, and troubleshooting guides
- Lead Focused Improvement initiatives to identify and eliminate losses, reduce cycle times, and improve yield (material Losses).
- Root Cause Analysis & Problem Solving: Conduct problem solving using the appropriate tools to address process failures and develop corrective & preventive actions
- Priority Setting through Daily Management System and effective escalation of issues
Education / Certifications:
- Technical diploma, trade certification (Millwright / Electrician), or an engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Industrial Maintenance
Job specific requirements:
- 2-3 years in current role + ready to promote + proven people leadership skills & capability
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment, with 1–2 years in a leadership or team lead role
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and/or automation systems.
- Experience in TPM, Lean, 6Sigma and HPO concepts are not pre-requisite but it is a plus

Work schedule: Mon-Fri
The expected annualized salary range for this position is $76.000 to $102.000 CAD depending on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible to participate in a highly competitive bonus program with a target of 5% with the possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results, and potential shift premiums and / or overtime.
