Overview
We are seeking passionate and dynamic French substitute teachers to join our Elementary and High School teams for the 2025-2026 school year. The ideal candidates will inspire students through engaging, student-centered instruction that develops language proficiency, cultural understanding, and a lifelong appreciation for the French language. Substitute teachers play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning and ensuring students remain engaged, supported, and challenged in the absence of their regular teacher.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective French lessons in alignment with the regular teacher’s lesson plan and the School’s educational vision.
- Perform all regular teaching duties to advance the curriculum left by the classroom teacher.
- Adapt lesson delivery as needed while maintaining fidelity to the teacher’s objectives and classroom routines.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and student-centered learning environment that encourages participation, collaboration, and respect for diverse perspectives.
- Support students in developing oral and written proficiency in French and an appreciation of Francophone culture.
- Communicate effectively with the teaching team and provide updates on class progress as needed.
- Uphold and promote the School’s mission, vision, values, and educational policies.
