Job description

Summary

Reporting to the Compression Engineering Supervisor the Project Engineer-in-Training (EIT) for Compression is a fundamental asset to EFX’s engineering process bringing innovation and ingenuity to the team. The successful candidate will manage a wide variety of tasks in a fast paced and dynamic environment.

This position is based out of the Enerflex Calgary manufacturing office at 4700 47th St SE, Calgary.

Principle Responsibilities and Duties

Under the supervision of a Compression Project Engineer or an Engineering Lead, successful candidates would:

  • Conduct engineering calculations using Enerflex proprietary programs (sizing of pressure vessels, pressure piping, control valves, PSV’s, etc.)
  • Assist in the development of the project P&ID and bill of materials (BOM) to meet client scope
  • Liaise and collaborate with internal design, procurement and production personnel
  • Provide details for RFIs (Requests for Information) to assist Project Managers with costs for Change Orders
  • Review AutoCAD drawings based on project specifications
  • Communicate and coordinate with clients and vendors

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or chemical engineering from a Canadian-accredited university
  • Registered as an Engineer-in-Training with APEGA
  • Ability to work well both independently and in teams
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong initiative and aptitude to learn new skills
  • Experience with AutoCAD and P&ID drawings
