The E-Volunteer’s Role

As a Monitoring and EvaluationAdvisor, you will play an important role in strengthening the planning, monitoring, and evaluation capacity of the local partner organization. Working closely with the Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation Unit, you will provide support to improve how projects are designed, tracked, and assessed.

In this role, you will collaborate with the organization and its strategic partners to enhance their ability to effectively serve underserved and marginalized groups. Your contributions will help ensure that these communities are treated with dignity, empowered to reach their full potential, and supported in overcoming barriers to full participation in society.

This is a meaningful opportunity to apply your analytical skills while contributing to inclusive, evidence-based development initiatives.

As an e-volunteer, you will:

  • Identify and analyze funding opportunities: Conduct ongoing research to identify relevant funding opportunities and produce bi-monthly reports outlining eligibility criteria, funding amounts, deadlines, and strategic recommendations to support strong proposal development.
  • Strengthen project data management systems: Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of past and ongoing projects, capturing key information such as funding sources, scope, target populations, outcomes, and performance indicators.
  • Evaluate project performance and impact: Review completed projects to assess compliance with established indicators and performance targets, and prepare evaluation reports with actionable recommendations for improvement.
  • Support evidence-based planning and decision-making: Provide insights and analysis that help the organization make informed decisions, improve project design, and enhance overall program effectiveness.
  • Promote inclusive and results-driven approaches: Contribute to strengthening systems that ensure projects effectively reach and benefit underserved populations, aligning with principles of equity, inclusion, and sustainable impact.

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Economics, Political Science, Social Sciences or related fields.

Essential Background:

  • Experience working on social or development projects
  • Familiarity with NGO operations and project environments
  • Strong analytical, research, and report writing skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to synthesize complex information into clear insights
