Job description

Pump Repair Technician
Surrey, BC

Our client is a leading value-added distributor of industrial pumps in Western Canada, with a full-service repair shop handling everything from small electric-driven pumps to large diesel-driven trailer-mounted packages.

As a Pump Repair Technician, you will take ownership of the shop's repair work. When a customer's pump comes in for service, you'll diagnose the issue, determine whether to repair or replace, and rebuild it to a like-new standard. You will also weld and fabricate custom parts, prep new pumps for sale, and be trusted to solve problems your own way, whether that means building a custom tool or improving how something gets done in the shop.

This is a senior, hands-on role with real ownership and a clear path to grow into a Service Manager position. Work-life balance is important for the team; you'll be home every night, with no on-call requirements.

Is this you? We’d love to hear from you. Apply here or submit your resume to apply@riverstonemanagement.com

  • You have extensive hands-on experience repairing submersible and above-ground centrifugal pumps

  • You think like a troubleshooting sleuth, you would rather diagnose the real problem than guess and start disassembling

  • You are comfortable working independently, with minimal supervision

  • You are still a team player who is not afraid to ask questions or loop in your manager and team members when needed

  • You have welding, fabrication, or millwright/heavy-duty mechanic experience

  • Strong English communication skills

  • Strong physical stamina, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and to bend, stand, and move for extended periods

Compensation & Schedule:

  • $45.00 to $50.00 per hour, depending on experience

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm

  • Full health, dental, life, and long-term disability benefits after 3 months

  • Annual performance-based bonus

As part of the hiring process, the successful candidate will be required to complete a criminal record check.

This opportunity is being managed exclusively by Riverstone Management Ltd., a licensed recruitment firm specializing in skilled trades. We are only able to consider candidates who are legally eligible to work in Canada for this role.

Thank you to all applicants for their interest. At this time, those selected for the next steps will be contacted. We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome applications from all qualified candidates.
