Job description

COMPANY DESCRIPTION :

In full expansion and a family owed business, our client, through its cutting-edge technologies, manufactures and distributes high end quality furniture internationally within the B2C and B2B markets with a special focus on the event industry.

JOB DESCRIPTION :

Reporting directly to the President, the General Manager will oversee all the business operations of the company, as well as human resources, finance, production and distribution. He / she will manage a team and collaborate across a range of departments to lead the business to the maximum productivity and efficiency.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Plan and execute strategic plans and implements them to guide the organisation towards achieving its objectives.
  • Review and improve organizational effectiveness by developing processes, overseeing employees, establishing a highly motivational work environment, and implementing innovative changes
  • Adhere to company standards for excellence and quality
  • Ensure the smooth functioning of various departments in the company.
  • Coordinate activities across the organization, monitoring operational efficiency and handling emerging issues.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, assign weekly performance goals and ensure their completion, and accomplish your own goals
  • Recruit, onboard, and train high-performing employees to achieve objectives for sales, profitability, and market share
  • Maintain project timelines to ensure tasks are accomplished effectively
  • Develop, implement, and maintain budgetary and resource allocation plans
  • Oversee budget planning and financial management to ensure the profitability of the organization.
  • Analyze costs, pricing, sales results and the organization’s financial performance and plan accordingly.
  • Delegate responsibilities to the best-qualified employees and enforce all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, training programs, and cultural values.

Profil

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in business management or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Speaks fluently in English and French
  • Experience in small-medium company
  • Working knowledge of human-resources processes
  • Proven success in a managerial role
  • Strong decision-making ability
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and delegation skills
  • Proven ability to develop and achieve financial plans
  • Ability to motivate and lead employees, and hold them accountable
  • Strong working knowledge of operational procedures

  • Permanent position, full time;
  • Salary between 150 000$ to 180 000$ depending on experience;
