Location: Edmonton, Alberta (Onsite – Mandatory)
Duration: 1 Contract (with 1 year possible extension)
Work Hours: 36.25 hours/week (Monday to Friday, 8:15 AM – 4:30 PM)
Role Overview
The Government of Alberta is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Administrative Support professional to assist with the annual statistics submission process. The role involves providing frontline administrative assistance, managing data and trackers, coordinating communications, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
The ideal candidate will be organized, responsive, and able to handle multiple priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day administrative and coordination support
  • Maintain accurate records, files, and documentation
  • Manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Monitor and respond to email inquiries in a professional and timely manner
  • Maintain spreadsheets, trackers, and databases and ensure data accuracy
  • Run completion reports and provide regular status updates
  • Update and maintain contact and organizational information
  • Provide basic system support including account updates and password resets
  • Review submissions for completeness and follow up on missing information
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year experience in data management, tracking, and reporting
  • Minimum 2 years experience using Microsoft Outlook (email, calendar, task management)
  • Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in Office Administration or related field
  • Experience providing client or stakeholder support
  • Experience using SharePoint Online or similar tools
  • Experience in a similar administrative role
