About the team + role
The Reference Data team, part of the broader Trade Data organization within the Brokerage Platform at Robinhood, serves as the source of truth for diverse asset classes—including equities, options, crypto, event contracts, and tokenized stocks. Our core systems, Quiver and Arsenal, interface with external providers such as Bloomberg, Alpaca, Kalshi, and ForecastX to ensure consistent symbology across all internal platforms.

As a Senior Software Developer on this high-impact team, you’ll collaborate across engineering, business, operations, and vendor channels to support critical infrastructure. Most product initiatives begin with us, as we enable reliable, scalable access to financial instrument data across Robinhood! Your work will help drive new feature rollouts and product expansions across multiple lines of business!

What you’ll do
● Build scalable systems and backend components, balancing stability, performance, and maintainability
● Design, implement, test, and deploy production-ready features with high correctness and low-latency requirements
● Partner with frontend and data teams to refine APIs used by millions of customers
● Mentor junior developers and technically lead complex projects across teams
● Identify and implement improvements for system performance and team workflows

What you bring
● 5+ years of professional software development experience
● 3+ years designing and building large-scale, distributed, low-latency systems
● Proficiency in highly concurrent backend system development and intuitive API design
● Demonstrated ability to deliver long-term impact on systems or team-wide architecture
● Strong judgment and prioritization skills, with the ability to lead initiatives and mentor peers

Toronto, ON$166,000—$195,000 CAD
