Job description

Tasks

  • Responding to service calls for instrumentation and control.
  • Programming programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and human-machine interfaces (HMIs).
  • Creating electrical drawings (Autocad Electrical) for control panels.
  • Participating in the commissioning of new installations.
  • Supporting sales teams in project estimation.
  • Optimizing and improving existing systems.
  • Training users and operators on equipment.
  • Keeping up-to-date with new methods and innovations.
  • Performing other related tasks.

Job requirements

  • DEP or DEC in automation, industrial control, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Proficiency in programming Omron and Allen-Bradley PLCs (a significant asset).
  • Strong skills with variable frequency drives, soft starters, and HMIs.
  • Intermediate English, spoken and written, to communicate with English-speaking clients about 30% of the time.
