About the Role

Fairgrounds Pickleball Clubs is seeking an energetic, experienced, and community-focused Head Pickleball Professional to lead our on-court programming, coaching, and staff development. As the face of Fairgrounds, you will embody our mission of delivering exceptional pickleball experiences to players of all levels while building a welcoming and vibrant club culture.


Key Responsibilities

Coaching & Instruction (Approx. 15–20 hrs/week)

  • Deliver private lessons, group clinics, and specialized training sessions.
  • Develop structured lesson/ clinic plans for all skill levels, from beginner to advanced.
  • Foster player development through hands-on coaching and clear feedback.

Programming & Events (Approx. 10–12 hrs/week)

  • Design, implement, and run engaging pickleball programs (leagues, ladders, socials, tournaments, junior programs, etc.).
  • Ensure programming is inclusive, fun, and aligned with the Fairgrounds brand.
  • Actively engage with members to encourage participation and community growth.

Leadership & Management (Approx. 8–10 hrs/week)

  • Recruit, train, schedule, and mentor assistant pros and coaching staff.
  • Set coaching standards and ensure program consistency across the club.
  • Collaborate with club management to meet program and membership goals.

Community Engagement (Ongoing)

  • Serve as the face of Fairgrounds Pickleball, building strong relationships with members, guests, and the local pickleball community.
  • Represent the club at events, tournaments, and community outreach opportunities.
  • Maintain a positive, professional, and approachable presence on and off the court.


Qualifications

  • NCCP Certified Pickleball Coach (required).
  • Proven experience as a pickleball professional, coach, or equivalent leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of pickleball instruction methods, techniques, and current trends.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to create, promote, and deliver dynamic programs for all ages and abilities.
  • Passion for building community and growing the sport.

Position Details

  • Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week (on-site).
  • Balance: Approximately 50% coaching/instruction, 25–30% programming/events, 20–25% leadership/management.
  • Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience
