Platform Modernization: Lead the migration of legacy reporting from MicroStrategy 2020+ to the Microsoft Power BI ecosystem.

Modeling & Datasets: Model complex data structures and create optimized datasets using Microsoft Fabric tools, Lakehouse, and Dataflows Gen2.

Microsoft Fabric & Advanced Analytics
Notebook Development: Write scalable Python/Spark code within Fabric Notebooks for ETL, data validation, and feature engineering.

Data Pipelines: Configure and manage Fabric items and pipelines to handle data ingestion, transformation, and scheduling across the enterprise data platform.

Deployment Management: Implement and administer Power BI environments, including the setup of deployment pipelines and workspace governance.

Collaboration & Delivery
Technical Specifications: Convert complex business requirements into detailed technical design documents and functional specifications.

Stakeholder Support: Act as a subject matter expert to support end-users with Power BI self-serve analytics and provide BI tool training.

Documentation: Create project artifacts according to Project Management Office (PMO) standards, including data models and knowledge transfer summaries.

Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 5 years as a Business Intelligence Developer, with extensive experience in large-scale enterprise environments.

Mandatory Certification: Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) is required.

Technical Stack:

Primary: Microsoft Power BI, Azure Synapse, SQL Server 2019+.

Advanced: Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Notebooks, PySpark), Python for ETL.

Legacy (Asset): MicroStrategy 2020 or later.

Data Modeling: Expert understanding of star schemas, snowflake schemas, and data warehousing interfacing.

Education: University degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.

Compliance: Knowledge of (or ability to rapidly acquire) the Ontario Human Rights Code and AODA accessibility requirements for digital reporting.

Deliverables
