Job description


Our client is seeking a driven and entrepreneurial focused Safety Trainer to join their safety team and oversee their central Ontario region. This role offers a unique opportunity to blend safety training expertise with business development acumen, playing a crucial part in both delivering essential safety programs and fostering local relationships to drive growth.   • Competitive salary range of $75,000 to $85,000.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, in-class safety training to customers and participants.
  • Support administrative, business development, and relationship-building activities as needed, including collaborating with the sales team and developing relationships within the local market.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to support business growth and maximize training opportunities.
  • Participate in required train-the-trainer and company-specific training programs to become familiar with established training methods and processes.
  • Maintain accurate digital records and information, with an emphasis on efficient, technology-enabled processes.
  • Support virtual instructor-led training initiatives as the business and training needs evolve.
  • Travel periodically within the central Ontario region to support training and customer needs.
  • Participate in company meetings, summits, and professional development events, including occasional travel to the US.



Qualifications:

  • Several years of experience delivering effective training to diverse audiences.
  • Entrepreneurial, proactive, personable, and team-oriented.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and customer engagement skills.
  • Experience in sales, business development, or a related customer-facing role is an asset.
  • Familiarity with LMS and virtual training platforms is an asset.
  • Experience in equipment rental, construction and industrial sectors is an asset.
  • Train-the-trainer experience is an asset.
