Human Resources Manager

Are you an experienced HR professional looking to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic and growing company? Midland Appliance , a leader in premium home appliances, is seeking a proactive and strategic HR Manager to join our team. This role is pivotal in supporting talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation and benefits, retention strategies, and developing People & Culture metrics.

Key Responsibilities

Employee Relations & Policy Development

  • Advise on employee relations, resolve conflicts, and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Collaborate with leadership to formalize, update, and communicate HR policies.
  • Provide training and clarity on policies to employees as needed.

Employee Retention, Recognition, and Talent Acquisition

  • Develop strategies to maintain low turnover and boost engagement.
  • Oversee recognition programs to enhance morale and performance.
  • Manage performance reviews and provide tools for feedback and recognition.
  • Collaborate with managers to meet hiring needs (1–2 hires / month).
  • Compensation & Benefits

  • Regularly review and recommend changes to ensure competitive compensation and benefits.
  • Act as a resource for employee benefit inquiries and collaborate with payroll to provide support.
  • Use employee feedback and market trends to optimize benefits offerings.
  • HR Metrics & KPIs

  • Develop a comprehensive metrics system to track HR performance and effectiveness.
  • Provide leadership with insights into turnover rates, hiring effectiveness, and employee satisfaction.
  • Create standardized job descriptions and evaluation templates.
  • Performance Management

  • Develop and manage performance appraisal systems to support employee growth.
  • Coach managers on performance-related matters.
  • Learning & Development

  • Oversee training programs to enhance employee skills and career development.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Organizational Development

  • Lead change management initiatives to support growth and transformation.
  • Facilitate team-building activities to foster a positive workplace culture.
  • What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • CPHR designation is an asset.
  • Proven HR experience, ideally in a small to medium-sized company.
  • Strong understanding of HR policies, labor laws, WorkSafe, and employment best practices.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems (Dayforce preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Skills Required

  • Recruitment and talent acquisition expertise.
  • Employee relations and conflict resolution.
  • Compensation and benefits administration.
  • Analytical skills for developing and tracking HR metrics.
