Job Title: Production Worker
Job Description

This role involves operating production equipment and forklifts in a busy manufacturing environment while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity. The Production Worker contributes directly to efficient production flow, accurate documentation, and a clean, organized workspace.

Responsibilities

• Operate production equipment in accordance with established operating procedures and safety guidelines.
• Document production numbers accurately and record items contributing to downtime or delays.
• Safely perform heavy lifting of up to 50 pounds on a regular, daily basis.
• Follow and adhere to all safety policies, programs, and procedures at all times.
• Monitor products during production to ensure they meet established quality specifications.
• Perform and document quality checks at regular intervals throughout the shift.
• Operate a counterbalance, propane-powered forklift to move materials and finished goods as required.
• Support shipping and receiving activities, including loading, unloading, and staging materials.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area by performing general housekeeping duties.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned by supervisory staff to support production goals.

Essential Skills

• 3+ years of experience as a machine operator or in a heavy production worker role.
• 3+ years of experience with forklift operation, including counterbalance, propane-powered forklifts.
• Experience in shipping and receiving within a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• Ability to safely lift and move 50 pounds or more consistently throughout the shift.
• Comfort working in a manufacturing environment with fiberglass, foam, and dust.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time while performing repetitive tasks.
• Strong attention to detail for documenting production numbers and quality checks.
• Commitment to following safety procedures and maintaining a safe work environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in a high-volume or heavy industrial production setting.
• Strong work ethic and reliability in meeting schedule and production expectations.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and standard operating procedures.
• Willingness to perform general housekeeping and contribute to overall plant cleanliness.

Appropriate safety equipment, including safety glasses, is required, and employees are expected to follow all safety and housekeeping standards to maintain a clean and organized production area.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brampton, ON.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.19 - $27.19/hr.
