As a Respiratory Therapist, you'll work across various care units, including ICU and pediatrics, to deliver exceptional respiratory care. Collaborate with diverse health professionals to implement effective treatment plans while engaging in ongoing skill enhancement through structured education programs. Your role is vital in improving patient health outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Evaluate and implement respiratory therapy plans
• Manage ventilation for patients in critical conditions
• Engage with interdisciplinary teams for holistic care
• Contribute to training and quality improvement projects
• Follow CSRT standards to ensure best practices
Requirements:
• Graduate from an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program
• Pass the Health Professionals Testing Canada Exam
• Eligible for CSRT and BC Society memberships
• In-depth knowledge of current respiratory care practices
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction
