Your Role in Supporting Our Members :
As a Fraud Tech Lead , you will provide technical leadership across Vancity’s Information Technology Services (ITS) team, driving the design, integration, and optimization of fraud detection tools across digital banking, payments, onboarding, and member-facing systems. You’ll guide tool selection and implementation, shape our fraud prevention roadmap, and collaborate with Security, Risk, Compliance, and Operations teams to ensure member safety and regulatory compliance. We’re seeking a strategic and hands-on leader with deep expertise in fraud prevention and enterprise-scale IT solutions.
This is a Full-time, Permanent role based at Vancity head office. Our head office is based in Vancouver, but we are open to candidates in BC and Ontario. While this position provides a hybrid work arrangement, you will be expected to be on-site for events and business demands when needed.
How You'll Make an Impact :
- Owning the ITS fraud prevention technology roadmap with a focus on digital channels and payments fraud
- Leading evaluation and adoption of fraud tools such as Actimize, Feedzai, SAS, FICO, or equivalent
- Ensuring fraud prevention is embedded into ITS architecture and platform standards
- Overseeing design, integration, and optimization of fraud tools within Vancity’s stack including Salesforce, MuleSoft, Intellect, and digital banking platforms
- Delivering fraud solutions that address account takeover, transaction monitoring, identity verification, and payments fraud scenarios
- Leading cross-functional ITS teams to deliver fraud-related initiatives on time and within scope
- Ensuring APIs, data pipelines, and monitoring frameworks support real-time fraud detection
- Building dashboards and monitoring solutions leveraging Splunk, Datadog, Dynatrace, or equivalent APM / logging tools
- Partnering with analytics teams to enable anomaly detection and machine learning capabilities
- Aligning ITS monitoring with SOC operations for faster fraud incident detection and response
- Mentoring ITS developers, analysts, and architects on fraud tool usage and integration best practices
- Collaborating with Security, Risk, and Compliance to ensure solutions remain member-first and regulatory-compliant

What You’ll Earn :
This role offers a salary range of $113,100 to $140,000 per annum . The base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications, skills, previous experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package, employees may also be eligible for our annual incentive program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
