Job description

Our manufacturing client is seeking a Part-Time Comptroller to join our team as the current Comptroller transitions into retirement. This role is ideal for an experienced finance professional looking for a flexible, part-time opportunity while providing strategic financial oversight to a growing organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review monthly and quarterly financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with Canadian GAAP
  • Provide strategic financial guidance related to budgeting, forecasting, profitability, and overall business performance
  • Oversee corporate tax filings, SR&ED claims, and regulatory compliance including HST and payroll
  • Support financial planning and reporting processes to ensure timely and accurate financial insights
  • Collaborate with leadership on financial strategy and operational improvements

Qualifications

  • CPA designation with 10+ years of senior accounting or finance leadership experience
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian GAAP, corporate tax, and financial reporting
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience working with ERP or accounting systems
  • Strong analytical, communication, and advisory skills
