About the Role
We’re looking for an Environmental Coordinator who is driven, detail‑oriented, and motivated to make a measurable impact across multi‑site environmental programs. In this role, you’ll support compliance, lead monitoring and reporting activities, and help strengthen our ISO 14001‑aligned Environmental Management System (EMS).
This position is 70% office‑based and 30% fieldwork , with a focus on wastewater systems, landfill operations, and legacy contaminated sites. You’ll work closely with operations leaders, consultants, municipalities, and the MECP to ensure our sites meet and exceed regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure environmental compliance across multiple sites in the Niagara Region.
- Lead sampling, monitoring, and reporting aligned with environmental permit requirements.
- Maintain and enhance our ISO 14001‑aligned Environmental Management System (EMS).
- Liaise with MECP, municipalities, consultants, and other stakeholders on regulatory submissions.
- Support development of the annual BMI Sustainability Report.
- Create and maintain environmental SOPs, policies, and training programs.
- Track, coordinate, and document training across multiple sites.
- Partner with operations to implement environmental best practices.
- Manage purchase orders, budgets, and invoice validation for environmental programs.
- Provide after‑hours support for spill / emergency response (as required).
- Represent The BMI Group with professionalism and confidence.
