Position Overview
The Network Engineer will be part of the Network Engineering, Design and Operations team, and will partner with Network Engineers, Architects, Project Managers and local Site IT Engineers to implement network changes and to support the local network infrastructure. Additionally, the Network Engineer will perform network changes and provide support to the global EA network as needed. Infrequent travel might be required for project work.
Required Skills And Experience
- Very strong knowledge of TCP / IP networking and communication protocols
- Very strong experience with routing and switching - BGP, OSPF, STP, HSRP, etc
- A lot of experience with physical network equipment installation and troubleshooting
- Knowledgeable about selecting matching transceivers and fiber patch cables to connect network equipment
- In-depth knowledge of WiFi equipment, specifically Cisco WLCs and access points, site surveys using Ekahau Site Survey Pro and experience deploying and managing a campus WLAN infrastructure
- Experience with network monitoring and scanning tools (SevOne, Grafana, tcpdump)
- Working knowledge of scripting and automation (Python, shell scripting, Ansible)
- Experience with firewalls and VPN equipment (PaloAlto, Cisco ASA)
- Familiarity with Cisco ISE Infrastructure and support of RADIUS and TACACS authentication services
- Experience with the Service Now platform and working in a change-control environment
- At least 5 years of network engineering experience deploying and managing large scale campus networks
