Job description
Adecco is currently hiring a Splunk Security Analyst for a full-time contract opportunity. This role is ideal for an experienced cybersecurity and Splunk professional who enjoys working in complex enterprise environments, supporting security operations, and enhancing SIEM and analytics capabilities. In this position, you will support the development, optimization, and integration of Splunk Enterprise Security solutions while collaborating with stakeholders across cybersecurity, analytics, and infrastructure teams.
  • Salary: Competitive compensation (to be discussed)

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
  • Employment Type: Full-time | 1.5-year contract

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Cyber Monitoring and Response teams, Splunk integrators, and stakeholders to support enhancements within the Splunk environment
  • Perform operational support and maintenance activities to ensure the stability, performance, and availability of Splunk systems
  • Support integrations between Splunk and various enterprise tools including SIEM, SOAR, and analytics platforms
  • Gather requirements and define security-focused, risk-based analytical use cases and associated workflows
  • Document all deliverables, technical specifications, and work products
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Splunk integration issues to ensure reliable data flow and optimal system performance
  • Participate in solution design and development activities related to data analytics and machine learning use cases
  • Identify opportunities to optimize Splunk Enterprise Security capabilities and provide recommendations based on industry best practices
  • Prepare detailed technical specification documents and implementation plans
  • Participate in prioritization activities related to client requests and operational requirements
  • Develop and deliver communications and updates to clients, technical teams, and stakeholders
  • Support enterprise cybersecurity initiatives involving multiple integrated vendor technologies
Qualifications
  • Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada
  • Accredited Splunk Enterprise or Splunk Enterprise Security Certification is required
  • University Degree or College Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience working with Splunk Enterprise Security
  • Minimum 5 years of recent experience implementing and configuring Splunk environments within large enterprise organizations
  • Experience developing and implementing advanced analytical use cases, including machine learning models
  • Experience parsing and managing data files within Splunk environments
  • Strong understanding of Linux, Windows, and Syslog environments
  • Experience with cybersecurity solution integrations involving multiple technologies and vendors
  • Knowledge of service delivery methodologies and project delivery practices
  • Experience working within Agile and traditional SDLC environments
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities
  • French language skills are considered an asset
