Job descriptionTwo weeks Days : Monday to Friday - 6AM to 2 : 30PM, Saturday 7AM to 12PM Two weeks Afternoon : Monday to Friday - 12PM to 9 : 30PM Troubleshoot, service and repair / replace the following; Electrical and electronic systems, diesel engines, transmissions, steering and suspension, brake systems, hydraulic systems, fuel and emission systems, cooling and heating systems, perform maintenance as per assigned work order. Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions; Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required; Service, maintenance and / or overhaul diesel engines, mechanical and hydraulic transmissions; Service, maintenance and / or overhaul of hydraulic and pneumatics systems; Complete reports to record problems and work performed; Maintain a safe and orderly working environment; SMAW and GMAW Welding, torch and plasma cutting will be required; Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work; Other duties as assigned by supervisor. Now, more than 50 years later, we have grown from modest beginnings to become one of North America’s largest, privately held, fully integrated recyclers of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metals. Our growing enterprise operates 53 facilities across North America, including Canada, the United States and Mexico, with additional interests in Europe. Our established and far-reaching geographic network means we are optimally positioned to maintain and service our current customer base while making strides in new and emerging markets. The 310T Truck and Coach Apprentice - Level 3 will be responsible for inspecting, testing, repairing and replacing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic units, diagnosing faults and malfunctions, repairing, replacing, testing and adjusting units to specifications to ensure fleet trucks, trailers and equipment meet established operational and safety standards.
