Job description

Are you an HR professional who excels at creating positive, collaborative outcomes? If you want a role where business leaders actually look to you for strategic guidance and employees trust your counsel, this opportunity was built for you. You will step in as the go-to HR partner for Canadian operations in Nisku, AB, shaping culture, solving real operational problems, and seeing the direct impact of your work across the team every single day.

Advantages
- Stability & Support: Enjoy a solid compensation package, full medical/dental benefits, and a predictable office schedule with minimal travel.
- Direct Influence: Partner directly with branch managers who value HR as a critical business ally rather than an administrative roadblock.
- Autonomy & Variety: No two days look the same - lead complex employee relations cases, champion talent acquisition, and run wellness initiatives on your terms.
- Modern Tools: Work within streamlined enterprise systems like Workday to spend less time on manual data entry and more time engaging with people.

Responsibilities
- Be the Trusted Advisor: Guide managers through tough staffing decisions, team coaching, conflict resolution, and complex workplace issues with tact and confidence.
- Build Strong Teams: Lead full-cycle recruitment using modern, behavior-based selection methods, and design welcoming onboarding experiences that set new hires up to thrive.
- Protect the Business & People: Keep operations ahead of the curve by interpreting Canadian employment standards, championing human rights compliance, and updating key workplace policies.
- Drive Employee Success: Champion performance management and career development frameworks that help employees understand expectations and grow within the company.
- Own the Operational Hub: Coordinate benefits administration, oversee return-to-work and disability plans, and maintain clean, audit-ready data in Workday.

Qualifications
- 3+ years of direct HR experience, ideally as a Generalist or Business Partner handling end-to-end employee lifecycles.
- Education in HR or Business (degree or diploma); a CHRP/CPHR designation gives you a strong competitive edge.
- Sharp legal instincts, with a clear, practical grasp of Canadian employment legislation and workplace health and safety.
- Confidence with tech, including hands-on experience using HRIS platforms (Workday is an asset) and Microsoft Office.
- High EQ and resilience, with the active listening skills and calm demeanor needed to de-escalate pressure and handle confidential matters discreetly.

Summary
This role puts you at the center of people strategy for an established national operation. If you are ready to move beyond routine HR administration and take true ownership of a thriving regional workforce, we want to hear from you., apply today.
