Job description



What You'll Do

  • Provide technical leadership throughout the planning, design, and execution of electrical power projects.

  • Develop and review engineering packages, including protection and control designs, station electrical layouts, schematics, wiring details, and equipment specifications.

  • Complete or oversee analytical studies related to system protection, fault currents, grounding, load flow, arc flash, and overall system performance.

  • Support project planning, technical proposals, engineering estimates, and client presentations.

  • Guide and mentor engineering staff through design reviews, technical problem-solving, and professional development.

  • Collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams to deliver practical, code-compliant engineering solutions on schedule.

What You'll Bring

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering and registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario.

  • Extensive experience designing medium- and high-voltage electrical systems, including substations.

  • Strong understanding of protection and control engineering, power system modelling, and utility standards.

  • Experience using power system analysis and electrical design software.

  • Proven ability to lead technical teams while building strong client relationships.
