A typical day would involve :

• Lead and develop the SRE, DevOps, and Cloud Architecture teams by setting a clear vision, aligning team goals with business objectives, and fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
• Managing team performance, provide professional development opportunities, and oversee resource allocation to ensure projects are completed successfully.
• Provide oversight to design and optimize scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud infrastructure, ensuring that cloud environments align with business needs.
• Lead and guide the cloud adoption, migration strategies, and manage cloud costs, implementing best practices and compliance standards to maintain a high-performing and secure cloud ecosystem.
• Focused on operational efficiency, the Director role is to identify gaps and implement best practices, ensure system reliability and availability, and lead incident response efforts. Drive automation and continuous improvement in cloud operations, monitoring, and scaling, minimizing manual efforts and reducing system downtimes.
• The Director will work closely with internal teams (engineering, product, and infrastructure) and senior leadership to ensure that cloud strategies are well-integrated into the organization’s broader objectives. The Director will also manage external relationships with vendors and cloud providers to ensure high-quality service and alignment with business needs.
• The Director will ensure that cloud architectures and operations adhere to industry security standards and regulatory compliance requirements (e.g. PCI, SOC, OSFI).
• This role will require great collaboration with the Security team to implement robust security measures, such as identity management, encryption, and vulnerability management, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of cloud systems. This role will also lead the development of policies and practices that ensure continuous compliance and mitigate security risks across cloud environments
• The Director will keep the organization at the forefront of cloud technology by exploring and adopting new tools, platforms, and cloud-native solutions. Leading initiative to drive continuous improvement of cloud processes, promoting innovation, optimizing cloud operations, and ensuring that the company stays competitive and efficient in its cloud strategy.

The salary range for this role is $121,000 to $181,200 annually. Base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications, skills, previous experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package, employees may also be eligible for our annual incentive program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
